Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors give strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both First Nations and non-First Nations peoples, towards creating a better Queensland.

Southern Cross Soloists 2025 Season

Southern Cross Soloists

Join the Southern Cross Soloists (SXS) on their Pearl Anniversary, as they celebrate 30 years of joy, creativity and connection.

The music, though fleeting, holds beauty in its imperfection because it is human. The SXS strive to recreate perfect sounds, but the real magic lies in their spontaneity. In an age of digital connection and artificial intelligence, human creativity and connection are often lost amid over documentation and constant distractions. Music, however, brings us back to the present, drawing us into the moment through its ephemeral nature.

As musicians, the SXS have the rare privilege of dedicating their lives to mastering an artform and using it to serve others. Their purpose is to rise above the digital noise and offer something truly valuable: empathy. Through performance, they practise and share this empathy, inviting you to join them this season as they explore the nuances of humanity through a blend of musical favourites, both old and new.
