Concert Conversations
These highly entertaining mornings begin with Artistic Director Jack Liebeck chatting to visiting Festival musicians about all sorts of fascinating and funny personal and professional aspects of their lives. A 45-minute performance follows, with refreshments beforehand.
AFCM Illuminates
Engage your mind with these stimulating one-hour sessions that explore topics on the history of violins, the Great Barrier Reef, the evolving brain and more; with lectures presented by JCU researchers and luminaries.
Sunset Series
These one-hour long concerts are a terrific starting point for newcomers as well as a chance for those who know their music well to hear popular works.
Evening Series
Enjoy a wonderful range of repertoire in the Festival’s full-length evening concerts. Opening Night begins a showcase of superb international and Australian musicians; with Closing Night guaranteed to be highly energetic and entertaining.

Join a spectacular cruise in the waters off the Cairns’ coast or attend an intimate concert and meet and greet with the internationally renowned Sitkovetsky Trio.
