Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors give strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both First Nations and non-First Nations peoples, towards creating a better Queensland.

Lyrebird

With a contemporary, modern Australian menu highlighting the finest locally sourced ingredients and complemented by impeccable service, the Lyrebird is the perfect place to start your evening at QPAC.

Delve into a special menu highlight showcasing the rich flavours of Italy with a selection of signature pasta dishes, curated by our Michelin-trained head chef, Salvatore Rizzato, from Rome, Italy. This unique collaboration skillfully blends tastes from his homeland with a Queensland inspired twist, expertly prepared by our passionate chefs at Lyrebird under his guidance.

Nestled alongside the vibrant Cascade Court, take in the anticipation of the upcoming night as you relax and enjoy the surroundings. Captivating guests, the Lyrebird is currently showcasing a curated collection of contemporary indigenous artwork by three acclaimed artists –  Michael Nelson Jagamara, Gloria Petyarre and Joanne Currie Nalingu. Telling the story of QPAC’s location – an original meeting place for the local Indigenous population – and its connection to rivers, leaves and storms; these works entwine the Lyrebird with Brisbane’s heritage. The colour palette in the series of artworks reflects a distinctively Australian aesthetic, mirroring QPAC’s aspirations for the Lyrebird and its food.

The quintessential QPAC experience begins at the Lyrebird. Make a booking today.

We had a beautiful dinner before seeing the Beauty and the Beast production. The staff were friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was calm and elegant. We ordered a multitude of dishes, all of which came out quickly. The food quality and presentation was outstanding, including the wine. Would highly recommend this classy establishment before viewing a performance at QPAC.

Arrived at 5:30 pm for 7:30pm show. Wait staff were wonderful and confirmed that we had a show booking. Entrée was tuna that was melt in the mouth perfect and a wonderful mushroom truffle dip with bread. The main was duck that was cooked to perfection. We finished up by 7 and went upstairs. Perfect start to the evening.
